“Ferrari should not count themselves rich before next week,” Chris Medland warns Italian giants of Red Bull threat

The team finishing 2nd in the constructor’s championship last year, Red Bull Racing and the team finishing behind them in 3rd, Ferrari have had the strongest start to their campaigns in 2022. In this new era of formula one, the Ferrari and the Red Bull Racing team have developed the most promising packages contending to fight for the world championship. With 3 races done and dusted, the Ferrari team have a 49 point lead over Red Bull Racing, which could turn out to be a massive gap in this year dominated by car development.
Red Bull racing finished the 2021 campaign on a high with their driver, Max Verstappen winning the driver’s world championship. The team based out of Milton Keynes have had their bar set up high ever since. However, the 2022 season has not quite unfolded in the way they would have hoped. The Red Bull Racing team have a fast car in their arsenal, but not one which is reliable as of yet. The team failed to finish 3 out of 6 times possible in the season so far, hurting them by losing vital championship points to their rivals, Ferrari.
Chris Medland expects a Red Bull come back in Imola

The Red Bull Racing team would hope to cover lost ground to their rivals, Ferrari and Mercedes walking into the Emilia Romania Grand-prix this weekend. The sport journalist, Chris Medland commented on this by saying “Teams can face teething issues at the start of a new set of regulations. But Red Bull will be keen to find some reliability as quickly as possible before the early frustrations evolve into an even bigger problem.”
This season with fresh rules and regulations in the world of formula one is going to be one to remember. With the best of 2022 yet to unfold, we travel to Italy for new racing opportunities after a gap of one week from Melbourne. All the teams have been preparing hard with potentially bringing upgrades to their car at the Imola Grand-prix. Thus, Chris Medland expects a comeback from Red Bull and stated “Ferrari should not count themselves rich before next week“.
