‘Ferrari will fight back,’ Mattia Binotto reckon Ferrari’s strong second of the season

Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto

Mattia Binotto has had a tough season after building a world championship-winning car. With the fastest car on track, you might think the work gets easier, usually with everything alright it does, but not for Ferrari. The Italian powerhouse lost everything in a span of 10 races after an expectation of almost winning the championship with a good margin.

Ferrari had been the best team in the first three races with a margin of 46 points in the drivers and around a bit more in the constructor. People and especially Tifosi expected them a win this season that would bring the WDC back in Maranello. But things went downhill quickly since the fourth race. With blunders all over the place and missed opportunities, Ferrari is now mostly out of the championship box.

With Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, Ferrari has one of the strongest teams on the grid. But not bringing up a proper plan, Ferrari as a team has been weak. This weakness has been over-utilised by the rivals causing Ferrari the maximum damage.

Charles could have been leading the championship if things would have been perfect for him. Carlos would have easily been third in the championship behind Max and Charles. But as the reality stays, Ferrari drivers are hard of the championship now.

Mattia Binotto backs his team for the second half with a Ferrari fightback upcoming. The hopes don’t fade away, Ferrari still has the fastest car and it is very much possible if the Italian team strikes it well.

Ferrari is 100 points off Red Bull in the constructor championship and Charles is 80 points off Max Verstappen in the driver championship with Carlos Sainz being below Mercedes’ George Russell.
