The Christian Horner investigation saga had seemingly ended after Red Bull cleared the team principal of any allegations. However, other new additions had resurrected the talks of the entire investigation. Regardless, the Briton continued to fulfill his duties as team principal at Milton Keynes. However, another major news about the case has surfaced online.
The entire case was related to Christian Horner‘s alleged inappropriate behavior against a female employee. However, following Red Bull’s final verdict, the female employee was suspended from the team. Recently, FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem broke his silence over the entire investigation saga and called it ‘damaging on a human level’. Moreover, Ben Sulayem claimed that the FIA could not take any action as it had not received a direct complaint.
According to reports from BBC, FIA has allegedly covered up two other complaints from a whistlerblower against Christian Horner’s behavior towards the female employee. The first complaint was made to the FIA ethics and compliance hotline on 2nd February.
Apart from this, the second complaint was related to the first complaint. The whistleblower threatened to release the entire case to the media if it wasn’t acted upon soon. However, FIA has yet to publish an official statement following these rumors from the whistleblower. This comes as direct contradiction to Ben Sulayem’s comment.
Christian Horner is using verdict from specialized external barrister to assert he isn’t guilty
A Red Bull-appointed barrister conducted the entire case, however, the team was reluctant to share the investigation report for the entire investigation. As a result, multiple people on the grid questioned the legitimacy of the investigation. Christian Horner reiterated how a grievance was raised and was dealt with professionally. Additionally, the team principal asserted how the barrister was the most reputable in the land.
The reality is that there was a grievance raised, it was dealt with in the most professional manner by the group, that appointed an independent KC, one of the most reputable in the land.Horner said, as reported by bbc.com.
Apart from this, Horner claimed that the barrister looked at everything meticulously and finally dismissed the grievances. The 50-year-old finally mentioned that the entire case was in the past and the team was focusing on racing in the 2024 season. The Briton added that the team and himself ‘moved on’ from the case.
He took time to investigate all the facts. He looked at everything and he came to a conclusion where he dismissed the grievance. As far as I'm concerned, as far as Red Bull is concerned, we move on.
Red Bull has been performing well during the 2024 season after maximizing points in the first two races. Hence, the team would function normally despite the rumors flooding the paddock against the team principal. As a result, Milton Keynes looks ahead and prepares for the upcoming Australian GP, and potentially scores a one-two finish.
