Lewis Hamilton, the former seven-time world champion, will be seen repping the red of Ferrari from the 2025 season onward. He is an absolute legend of the sport but despite this, the former F1 team manager, Flavio Briatore has made it known that Hamilton will struggle to go up against the prolific Charles Leclerc.

The Monegasque driver has been making his trade with Ferrari since 2019 and is considered one of the fastest drivers on the current grid. He’s only 26 years old and has all the skills in his arsenal to become a future world champion.

Flavio Braitore ardently feels that Leclerc’s might in F1 will prove too much to handle for Lewis Hamilton next year. While talking along the same lines, the former said,

The Monegasque is underrated, Hamilton will struggle to stay ahead of him.

The 2024 F1 season has just begun and there is a long way to go until the end of the campaign. From Ferrari’s point of view, they would want to keep a close eye on the exploits of Hamilton in his Mercedes W15.

While Falvio Braitor has his doubts regarding the prospects of Lewis Hamilton against Charles Leclerc at Ferrari, the ongoing campaign has not gone as planned for the former so far. Hamilton has proved second-best to Mercedes teammate George Russell in the W15.

The 39-year-old finished a disappointing ninth in Jeddah whereas Russell managed to end his exploits in a respectable sixth place. After the 50-lap outing, Hamilton called for big changes.

We have definitely got to make some big changes. We haven't made big enough changes, perhaps. If you look at the three teams ahead of us, they still have a different concept to where we are in some areas. So we have got some performance to add, for sure.
Lewis Hamilton said in an interview, as reported by ESPN

While Lewis Hamilton has called for significant changes in the W15, he can’t hide from the fact that he has been outclassed by his younger teammate in the first two races this year. They both have the same machinery underneath them and Russell has managed to extract the most out of it.

Hamilton is the biggest name on the current F1 grid and has a huge fanbase. They all want to see him locking horns at the extreme north end, but the way things are going, the upcoming races could bring more misery. The Australian GP weekend is slated to kick off from 22nd March onwards.
