Speaking of football and Monaco GP, we saw two of the most talented player in the English team in Mason Mount and Phil Foden arrive in style to attend the historic Monaco GP. This tells us about the ever growing popularity of Formula 1 across the world.

The popularity of the sport was becoming a growing concern for the FIA in the last few years and steps needed to be taken to bring it back to the place where it belongs and eventually it was done. Obviously the last season which was an edge of the seat affair helped more people to be involved in the sport but the major reason behind the resounding popularity has bee the Netflix series, ‘Drive to Survive.’

This helped FIA tap the untapped audience across the globe without even holding a Grand Prix in that geographical location. Now F1 is a great mix of historic races and the newer ones. Both reach to attend the Grand Prix after being on the opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of success in the Premier. While Phil Foden won it, Mason Mount finished a disappointing third.

Phil Foden sounded ecstatic after winning the coveted prize. He said, β€œIt’s definitely got to be up there with Sergio’s moment.”

β€œThe team that Pep [Guardiola] has built, we always keep believing until the end. Not many teams could do that,” as reported by talksport.

Phil Foden and Mason Mount are definitely seem to be enjoying their weekend in Monaco and it should get better with the action that we have in store.
