Scuderia Ferrari revealed that they would unveil their 2024 challenger on 13th February 2024. This made Ferrari the first team to share any news relating to the development of the car for next year. Amidst this, Fred Vasseur has hinted toward the possible release dates of the other teams.

As the date has been revealed to the public, Vasseur mentioned how the team will have only one day before testing. Additionally, the Frenchman added that it was a challenge to put everything in time for the reveal. Furthermore, the 55-year-old asserted that the few other teams were planning to reveal their car on 14th February or Valentine’s Day to prepare for the testing session in Bahrain. Although he didn’t specify any team in particular.

We will have one day more before the test! No no, it’s quite tight, honestly and more seriously, we have the test a bit before, and it’s quite a challenge to put everything together, It means we had no other option I think also, but some other teams are doing it also on the 14th. It’s quite challenging to be ready for Bahrain.

The boss avoided diving into the details and performance of the car by giving a cryptic answer when questioned about it. Vasseur insisted that he did not need to promise anything and added that the Christmas gift would be when the team performs well during March or the beginning of the season.

I don’t have to promise something, The best way is to be focused on what we are doing, to deliver, and the Christmas gift for will be if we are able to do a good job in March, not for Christmas.

Fred Vasseur did not make any promises for its 2024 car

Although the Ferrari SF-23 for this season was quite a spectacle to watch, Fred Vasseur only provided surface information about the car. Furthermore, they didn’t hint at the name of the car, considering Maranello makes it challenging to predict their challenger’s name every year. The Christmas gift was based on a promise for the Frenchman to make, which he did not want to do.

However, Vasseur did claim that the results and the gift of performance from the Maranello would be an early Easter gift in March. Regardless, the boss renounced his disagreement of making any promises to the people and media as the team aims to not make the same mistake as they did this year.

The Maranello is completely focused on the performance of the next season alongside Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. The team does not want a repeat of 2023 where the team had realistic winning chances, but choked the strategies and pit-stop on multiple occasions. Hence, the winter break is a break for preparations at Ferrari.
