Max Verstappen, the reigning F1 world champion, has been in tremendous form during the 2023 F1 season. He has proved just too mighty behind the wheel of the RB19, and with just two races remaining in the season, his race engineer, Gianpiero Lambiase, has claimed that Verstappen sometimes gets bored during races.
The Red Bull F1 team developed a beast of a car ahead of this year’s campaign, and Max Verstappen has been reaping its reward. He has won most of the races by a handsome margin over his rivals, and the gaps on most occasions have been between 10-15 seconds, which is extremely huge in F1 terms.
Seeing Verstappen dominate 2023 at the north end of the grid, Lambiase has shed light upon a conversation that he recently had with the Dutchman and sad, as reported by Racefans.net;
Sometimes I get the feeling that you are just bored basically sometimes. I think even if we are 30 seconds up the road, I’ll still be in the zone, as it were, still trying to maximize everything and taking everything seriously. Whereas I think at that point [Max] has perhaps lost a bit of interest and is like ‘come on GP, just chill out a bit

Looking at the comments of the British race engineer, it is quite clear he and Verstappen share a very tight-knit bond on and off track as well.
Max Verstappen has been nothing short of brilliant in 2023
While Gianpiero Lambiase supports Max Verstappen as much as he can from the Red Bull pit wall during F1 races, most of the heavy lifting during the marquee events is done by the latter. His 2023 exploits give a fair representation of how dominant of a driver he has proven to be.
As per the statistics, the 26-year-old has so far managed to win a brilliant seventeen Grand Prix out of the twenty that have taken place so far. Moreover, when it comes to his points tally, he currently sits on a huge pile of 524 miles ahead of his nearest competitor, Sergio Perez.
Let’s go!!! What a great performance! This is another amazing day for us as a team @redbullracing ? and a pretty nice way to celebrate the win ??

Keeping the above stats in view, it’s no wonder that Max Verstappen secured the 2023 world championship during the Qatar Grand Prix weekend. While he has become a 3-time title holder, the scary part about him is that he is still getting better and better with each passing season.
