F1 as a sport, has evolved massively in all its facets in the last few years. Next up on the list is getting a woman on the F1 grid as soon as possible but keeping everything in view, the Haas team principal, Guenther Steiner has claimed that people need to be realistic regarding women’s participation.
The women-only F1 Driver Academy was launched this year with the intention of preparing women to someday be ready enough to lock horns with the F1 elite. Guenther Steiner wants women’s participation at the pinnacle of motor racing but feels getting them on the grid is going to be quite difficult.
Absolutely, we cannot think about 1 or 2 years, we need to think further. First, we need to make this happen the first steps are always the most difficult. We need to be realistic, I mean, I hope it will happen but it is very difficult, we have thousands of boys training since they are 6-7 years old to get to F1, and with the girls, we have just started.Guenther Steiner gave his opinions on the F1 Academy initiative, via Sky Sports F1.
The Italian-American with his comments has raised an extremely valid point. The F1 driver academy is just at its initial stages currently and is going to take some time to produce F1-caliber racers. Whereas the boys start racing from a very young age with the hope of getting into the sport.

Guenther Steiner has his own problems to deal with ahead of 2024
While Guenther Steiner has asked people to be realistic regarding women’s participation in F1, he has some immediate issues to deal with on his Haas F1 team. The 2023 campaign was an utterly disappointing one for them, especially considering how they performed during the first leg.
The VF-23 proved really fast on one-lap pace this year but when it came to the race trim, their car was nowhere near the midfield teams. Haas’s competition was with the lights of Alfa Romeo, AlphaTauri, and, Williams but because of their lackluster car, they lost out in the battle.

Keeping in view everything that has been discussed above, the 2024 F1 season is going to be immensely crucial for Guenther Steiner and his team. The work is going on at full tilt in the Haas factories regarding the development of the VF-24 and considering this, it will be fascinating to see what kind of a car they will come up with.
