The Watt brothers attended the maiden Miami Grand Prix, hosted outside the Hard Rock Stadium. The weekend started with an optimistic message from Haas head of communications, Stuart Morrison and developed into a full-blown chat about Formula 1. This further translated into an invitation for both to attend as guests of the team.
The brothers became the fan of the sport due to the Netflix series, Drive To Survive. TJ Watt opined on his experience by saying “We definitely didn’t pick their brains with the non in-depth questions we had. They were pretty fundamental. But they didn’t laugh at us! They just answered them and were just really great showing us how it all worked.”
He further added “It’s crazy, the complexity, the scale of the whole operation. The pit stops are so impressive. So many things have to go right and only one little thing has to go wrong.” The attendance at the Miami Grand Prix by both celebrities and crowd, depicted how far Formula 1 has come. It definitely is a step in right direction for the sport and with three races in the USA in 2023, it will be even more big.
