Alex Albon was fortunate enough to drive for Red Bull and alongside the reigning world champion, Max Verstappen, after Pierre Gasly failed to make an impression for the Milton Keynes outfit. He soon realized how difficult it is for a driver to be Max Verstappen’s standards. The reigning world champion is one of the best that we current have in Formula 1 and he’s also one of the most fierce competitors.
We all saw last year that even a name like Lewis Hamilton could not stop Max Verstappen to win the championship. It’s not like Red Bull had developed a better car which gave Max Verstappen the edge over Lewis Hamilton. The cars were neck to neck and it was down to the drivers to separate themselves on the basis of the quality on the track and so Max Verstappen did. He took it down to the wire and got the better off Lewis Hamilton.
Max Verstappen never backs down from a challenge and that’s exactly what we have seen this year around. After having such an unreliable car, Max Verstappen has not let his shoulders to go down and whenever he has had the opportunity to finish the race, the Dutchman has emerged victorious. That’s a hallmark of a true champion who never gives up when the chips are down and the team needs a performance.

Alex Albon showered heaps of praises for the reigning world champion as he reflects on his time at Red Bull. He said, “He has a lot of self-confidence and he is in a position where he doesn’t need to be political, he does the talking on the track.“
“People see him as arrogant, but I don’t think so at all. I think he is very determined, very hungry and he is sure of himself.”
“He (Max) has a very specific driving style that works for him and is is quick, but it’s not the easiest to follow and if that guy is doing well, then there’s no reason for the team to deviate to something else,” as reported by gpblog.
Formula 1 is a sport full of characters and Max Verstappen definitely makes it to the list. Alex Albon became a fan of the world champion while he partnered with him at Red Bull. He said it was a learning curve for him.
