Helmut Marko, the Red Bull team adviser, has admitted that his team never considered reaching the 100-win mark at the pinnacle of motor racing. Max Verstappen’s triumph at the Canadian GP has made 100 wins a reality for the Milton-Keynes-based team, and Marko has indicated that the team is on cloud nine after the historic achievement.

Helmut Marko and Christian Horner are the two major pillars around whom the Red Bull F1 team has developed over the years. The former is extremely proud of what the team has achieved and is just grateful to everyone at Red Bull for making the 100 wins mark a reality for the team.

The 80-year-old when asked to dwell on it by racingnews365, admitted that he never envisioned the team reaching such heights, “For us to have 100 wins now is unbelievable. 100 wins, that was something we could never imagine or never dare to dream of. It is very unfortunate that Mateschitz can no longer experience this,”.

While Marko is pleased with the Austrian team’s progress, he was asked whether Red Bull could win all the races in the 2023 F1 season. He responded, adding, “So far, it is going very well, and Max is in incredible form. We have 100 wins, and then 114 are also possible,”.

The Red Bull F1 team has been incredibly fortunate in terms of having some of the most prolific drivers drive their various cars. The team has produced absolute gems, from Sebastian Vettel to Max Verstappen. While the former is happily retired from the sport, Verstappen runs the show at the pinnacle of motor racing.

He easily bashed his competition during the 2022 F1 season and has been doing the same thing again this year. In the eight races that have taken place so far, the 25-year-old has claimed victory in six of them, with the other two going to his teammate, Sergio Perez. The RB19 has performed in a league of its own this season.

Helmut Marko feels that if things go right for Red Bull throughout the season, the team can claim victory in all the races this year. Moreover, considering how far behind the other teams are in generating solid performance from their respective cars, no one would try to bet against the mighty Red Bull F1 team.
