Red Bull had revealed their car at their Milton Keynes base last week. The team’s 2024 challenger had stunned its rivals, as they had adopted radical changes in its concept and moved closer to a ‘zeropods’ design that Mercedes had abandoned. Now, Helmut Marko has commended the team for their new approach and has called the RB20 a revolution.

The team have been in the limelight for the past few weeks due to an investigation against Christian Horner. However, the team is focused on their upcoming season. The successor of RB19 has been noted for taking inspiration from their arch-rival Silver Arrows design. Following this, Marko has commented on the situation.

It’s more than an evolution. It’s a small revolution. It is the basis of what will be used in 2024. In terms of simulation and the wind tunnel, it all worked very well.
Helmut Marko said as reported by pitdebrief.com

The team had incorporated the Mercedes-style vertical inlets and the hump near the engine cover. This had baffled the rivals as it was understood that moving towards a Red Bull-esque design was the way to go. Following this, Marko commended the team’s actions of daring to change their already dominating concept and revolutionised the car.

The Austrian had commended Red Bull in a recent interview and complimented their swift action in response to such intolerable actions. Marko had defended the team for their delayed response and explained that by having a verdict later, they could ensure that the investigation was completed fairly.

The Austrian outfit is now preparing itself for the upcoming season. In the hands of Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez, the team would be aiming to claim another double championship.
