Helmut Marko and Christian Horner
Red Bull’s team principal, Christian Horner, has been under scrutiny by the parent company for the past few weeks. The supremo has been accused of behaving inappropriately with a colleague and the investigation is underway. Now, Helmut Marko has addressed the issues and commended Red Bull on their way of handling the issue.
Red Bull Austria had launched an investigation in response to a complaint against their F1 team principal. The firm hired an external lawyer to investigate the issue fairly and to deliver a verdict on the issue soon. The Briton was recently questioned for hours last week and speculations have been made on his future at the team. The 80-year-old has defended the team and commended them on their swift action.
The sooner a result is available, the better because of course, rumors and other stories are bound to sprout due to the long duration. [But] I think Red Bull has reacted very well in this matter. The long duration of this investigation is not their fault. They are endeavoring to [have] a fair investigation and then react accordingly.”Helmut Marko said as reported by autosport.com.
The Austrian is infamous for his strong wordings against multiple F1 personnel but has addressed the issue regarding his colleague diplomatically. Investigations against the 50-year-old have risen to such levels that the complainant may be approaching a British court to resolve the issue. The team wants to end the investigation as soon as possible to save the brand’s image from more damage.
