Helmut Marko, the adviser to the Red Bull Formula One team, is very happy with the team’s performance in the pre-season testing. Max Verstappen, the golden boy of the team, topped the timesheet and led both sessions on day one. He had the entire day for himself. The second day was split between him and his teammate Sergio Pérez.
The Red Bull duo completed 123 laps on day two. The final day of pre-season testing ended with Sergio Perez setting the fastest time of all three days, and he finished first. Helmut Marko was thrilled by the team’s performance. He was spotted in the Red Bull garage with a smile on his face.
“We actually only had one problem, and it was not serious”, Marko told Sky Sports. The Austrian is quite confident about the team’s potential. Over the winter break, they worked sincerely and made further developments to their car. “We did see that we are reliable and fast,” noted Marko. The team just wants to tweak their set-up for the races, and then they are ready.
Helmut Marko believes Red Bull is quicker than its competition

Marko stated that he was aware the lap times in the test were not significant. And it is about reliability, pace, and addressing any other issue. The team as a whole is happy with their race pace. They are confident about the upcoming season. Marko, however, thinks that the other teams might be holding back on their true pace. Surprisingly, this does not threaten him.
Helmut Marko believes in the RB19, he had nothing but praise for the team’s ability to assemble a challenging car. They will start their 2023 season as reigning champions, and with that advantage and good pre-season testing, they are now more confident than ever. The team also has a psychological advantage over the others.
Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez were satisfied overall. The commentators noticed a glow on Verstappen’s face and enquired about it to Horner. The team boss replied, saying the two-time world champion was just happy. If all goes well for the team, they will not have to worry about the rest of the season. However, Mercedes and Ferrari will want to keep pushing after the terrible season they had last year. It is unclear where these two teams stand based on the pre-season testing. The only thing certain is that Red Bull is strong and confident. The true story will be revealed in almost a week at the Bahrain International Circuit.
