Ferrari drivers Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc are often spotted together, be it spending leisure time together in between race weekends or for commercials. Spaniard Carlos Sainz replaced Sebastian Vettel in 2021 and joined forces with Monacan Leclerc to serve as his teammate. He made a move from McLaren to Scuderia Ferrari that season.

It’s no great mystery that he gets along really well with his teammate Charles Leclerc, both on and off the track. That togetherness is propelling the team forward and hasn’t displayed any signs of fatigue now that they’re both conceivably fighting for victories and the championship.

“He’s a great guy, we have a lot of mutual respect, which helps our working relationship. He’s doing a great job adapting to the new car, the new regs, he’s extracting everything out of this Ferrari that I’m trying to do also, and in certain ways copy. I’m having fun with him, we get on well and we work in the same direction, which is important,” added Sainz.

“He’s driving at a very high level, he’s putting together super-impressive lap times, an impressive way of driving and I can only admire and try and in some ways copy, and in others try and put it a bit more in my liking to be faster. Sometimes it goes like this and as a driver you just need to go through a process and challenge yourself,” concluded the Spaniard on being asked about what he thinks about Leclerc’s drive this season.

At the moment, Carlos Sainz and teammate Charles Leclerc are separated by a whopping 33 points in the drivers’ standings for the 2022 Formula One World Championship. Sainz is currently fifth on the leaderboard with an accumulated 83 points, while Leclerc is placed second with an impressive 116 points.
