The Miami GP was a spectacular event, as several stars attended the event. This was the first ever race held in Miami, as Max Verstappen claimed his third win of the season. Ferrari drivers, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz could only finish P2 and P3, as they threw away a front low lockout.

Basketball great, Michael Jordan and NFL star, Tom Brady were in attendance among the other sporting icons. Perhaps, the picture which will go down in the memory lane will be an iconic image featuring David Beckham, Michael Jordan and Tom Brady.

Tom Brady is known to be a supporter of Lewis Hamilton, and the duo were also seen playing Golf together earlier this week. The NFL legend went into the Mercedes garage to meet up with his good friend, and give him some words of encouragement. Brady’s wife, Gisele dropped a cheeky comment which read, “Hope you are having fun,” in response to Brady’s tweet.

Lewis Hamilton gets outpaced by George Russell once again in Miami

Lewis Hamilton has not had the best of starts to his F1 season in 2022. The seven time champion has once again been outperformed by George Russell in Miami, as the latter finished P5 ahead of Lewis Hamilton who came in P6. For majority of the race, it looked like Lewis would finish above his teammate, before Russell was allowed a cheap pit stop because of a safety car.

Valtteri Bottas ran wide, as Lewis Hamilton overtook him. Seeing a small window, George Russell went in for the overtake, and completed a successful move on his teammate. Mercedes lost further ground to Red Bull and Ferrari, who finished in the top four, with two Ferrari drivers ending on the podium.

The next stop will be held in Barcelona, for round six of the Formula One 2022 season. Lewis Hamilton claimed the win in Spain last year, courtesy of a brilliant strategy from Mercedes, which helped his overtake Max Verstappen.
