“I am a very slow driver,” Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen reveal their driving mentality outside the F1 track

Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen
Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen have struggled on the track but that hasn’t stopped them from having fun outside of it. This was supposed to be Red Bull’s season as everyone expected them to runaway winners after the kind of season they had last year and also their impressive showing in pre season testing in Bahrain and Barcelona. But that hasn’t been replicated on the track.
But Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez is still one of the more lethal duos in Formula 1. In their first year only Red Bull finished second in the constructor’s championship only 28 points behind Mercedes. Both seemed to share a really healthy relationship. Sergio Perez recently confirmed that when he said, “With Max I have a very good relationship.”
“We are more similar than people think. Formula 1 is not everything. We have a life outside the sport and that’s why we have respect for each other and a good relationship. We have a good time together, which is important for the team,” as reported by gpblog.
We got to see another glimpse of that strong relationship outside of the track as the duo answered some hilarious questions posed by Red Bull’s cryptocurrency sponsors, Bybit. The team’s sponsors brought them them out of the driver’s seat and put them in a different hot seat. Both of them looked comfortably at ease to answer an interesting set of questions.

The most interesting question of the lot was regarding how do they drive outside of the track while living their normal life. Max Verstappen being himself, replied, “Once I get home, I want to take it easy and just get from A to B, that’s it.”
Sergio Perez gave an interesting reply when he said, “I’m a slow driver, I have to say. Especially if I’m sitting in traffic, but if it’s an opportunity to go fast, I’m always up for it.”
This recent interview was a breath of fresh air for all Red Bull fans as both Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez have had limited moments to celebrate on the track. Let’s hope this time off the track can help rejuvenate their spirts and pose a serious to the championship leaders, Ferrari.
