Lando Norris is currently P7 in the 2022 Drivers Championship with the tag best among the rest associated with him, it’s because of the performance deficit the rest of the F1 teams have in comparison to Mercedes, Ferrari, and Red Bull.

However, despite being the best driver among the rest of the pack, the young Brit is not entirely happy with his current situation at McLaren in the sport.

Lando Norris is rated very highly on the current grid of Formula One drivers and his caliber is quite clear from the fact that after the end of the Italian Grand Prix of 2021, he has managed three third places and one second-place finish in a McLaren that is not among the top three teams in the sport.

Norris believes he has what it takes to win races in the sport regularly and is not pleased with his P7 in the standings. While talking about his woes, Norris said, “I’m satisfied with it [being seventh] but within the big picture am I happy? No, I want to win races. I’m not here to keep finishing P7.”

“Last year we were rewarded more when we did a good job. At Imola and Monza I got podiums. This year we do a good job and it can be P8 or P9 – that part of it is tough, it’s tough when you want to be higher. But you’ve got to set mini-targets and treat them more as mini-wins.”

Lando Norris wants to fight for Grand Prix wins on a regular basis and feels it is really difficult for him to be fighting in the midfield for a mere 4-5 points that are usually on offer for the midfield teams during Grand Prix weekends.

The Brit wants to reach the top level in the sport, and for that, he needs a livery that can help him in achieving his targets, McLaren has been a midfield team for a long time and if he wants to reach the very top, then he might have to look for his future elsewhere.
