We all know how much Sebastian Vettel wanted to win that world championship with Ferrari but, unfortunately, Mercedes’ dominance in that period in addition to Ferrari’s slump meant that the German was deprived of it. Even though he might have decided to move on to another teams, he definitely still has a lot of emotions for his old two loves, Red Bull and Ferrari, who have been battling it out this season.

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc has been in top form ever since the start of the season. We are just 3 races into the season and he already has a 46 point lead over the reigning world champion, Max Verstappen. Red Bull hasn’t been able to put a reliable car on track which presented Ferrari an opportunity to take advantage of, and the Italian Giants have held it with both hands. It’s been a cracking start to a season if you are a neutral.

Although Max Verstappen was able to win in Jeddah, he hasn’t looked as comfortable on the car. The Dutchman has found it difficult to deal with the oversteer whereas his arch rival and karting mate, Charles Leclerc looked at ease despite Ferrari’s mild porpoising issues. The Monegasque driver might have the edge right now but one can never be sure of what will happen in the next race in Formula 1.

Regardless of who comes out on top, Sebastian Vettel will have reason to celebrate. He had words of encouragement for both sides. Talking about Ferrari, he said, “”I hope they can enjoy the success now longer than they did then. I am very happy for Ferrari.

“I still have a lot of contact with the people there and I know how tremendously hard they work and how committed they are”

He also advised Max Verstappen saying, “In Max’s situation you have no reason not to be motivated. He is in a great team and I think Red Bull has the best car. Right now they just don’t have the best package yet,” as reported by gpblog.

Sebastian Vettel might himself not had the best of starts to the season but he must be pleased to see Ferrari’s flawless start to the season and return to top form after a really long time.
