“I don’t understand what he was doing there,” Max Verstappen frustrated after being blocked by Carlos Sainz during FP1

The Austrian Grand Prix weekend started today, and it is not like a usual weekend, it consists of an F1 Sprint race, which means that there would be no FP3. Anyways, FP1 got over, and Max Verstappen dominated during the entire session, maintaining P1 throughout the session, it seemed smooth for him. Although, this result did not stop him from complaining over his radio.
There are only going to be 2 practice sessions, which means teams would have to run relatively more and more laps to collect the correct data, which all the teams essentially did, making the track busy most of the time.

Max Verstappen faced a lot of traffic during the practice session which affected his lap times, although he did manage to have the fastest lap, he believes that his lap time could have been significantly better if it was not for the cars interrupting him. During the second half of the session, he was trying to set even faster laps but the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz was ahead of him, which did not seem to give Verstappen any space. “That was way too close. I don’t understand what he was doing there,” Max Verstappen said as he went too close to the Ferrari, GPBlog quoted him.

Max Verstappen has a good chance during qualifying and race
The track is called Red Bull Ring, and that means that RB owns it, and that is one of the many advantages of the team. They know the track and have significant track data than any other team, and the track is relatively a full throttle track, giving Max an extra advantage (the Red Bull straight line speed comes into play). All in all, this entire weekend could be in the hands of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, if everything goes fine for them and the team.
