Charles Leclerc has been the championship leader since round one. However, Max Verstappen could claim the lead in Barcelona, if he manages to claim the race win. Or, if the Dutchman finishes second with the fastest lap, he will still claim the championship lead.

Both Ferrari cars have had a nightmare Spanish GP thus far. Carlos Sainz squandered a second row start after an early spin into the gravel. Red Bull could attain a strong 1-2 finish, which will be their second of their season. This could help them attain the lead in the constructor’s championship, as well.
