Lando Norris, who has been suffering from illness all through the weekend, has ahead of the upcoming Sao Paulo Grand Prix, indicated that he is fit enough to go racing.

Earlier in the week, Lando Norris got ill after complaining about food poisoning, but barring the Thursday media duties, has been able to take part in the rest of the activities.

Moreover, the Brit did a brilliant job during yesterday’s Sprint race and is all set to start the upcoming race from P6 on the grid.

The McLaren F1 Team had a decent outing with both its cars yesterday, but Lando, after the 24-lap dash admitted that his outing was tougher than he had expected.

While stressing about the same, after the event, he added, “I was really struggling on the track. I’m not looking forward to the race at all. I feel weak, haven’t eaten anything for two days, and haven’t drunk anything for almost a day. It’s a real struggle.”

The Sao Paulo Grand Prix being a 71-lap race demands high concentration from the drivers because of its technical nature, and while Lando is prepared to do his best during the race, he has indicated that he might make a few mistakes because of his ongoing illness.

While shedding light on it, he added, “Of course. I have to. It’s safe, I just don’t feel good while doing so. It’s not that I’m shutting my eyes or anything. Maybe I’ll make a few more mistakes than normal and miss a few more apexes than normal, little things like that. But I’ll be okay.”

The 22-year-old is not extremely confident about nailing all the apexes during the event but has assured his fans, that he would be fine enough to take his MCL36 around the Interlagos Circuit for the whole duration of the race.

The Sao Paulo Grand Prix is shaping up to be an epic event, and considering how yesterday’s Sprint race panned out, in which position do you see Norris ending up at the end of the race?
