“I think Max & Charles Leclerc are on the same level,” George Russell sympathetic towards Leclerc amidst his never-ending bad luck

George Russell reflected his sympathy towards Charles Leclerc after the series of bad luck and strategies which have made him lose a huge amount of points, perhaps even the World Championship. However, Leclerc is little to be blamed for this entire blunder that has been caused by the team. The cars were competitive enough to challenge and beat Red Bull & Max Verstappen during most of the races, but retirements because of engine failures, bad strategies and decisions led to the loss of points that Ferrari is facing in the championship.

The Monegasque could have been the leader of the World Championship, but as of now, he stands at a position where the only way he can win this championship is by winning all of the 9 races that are remaining this year. Some of the losses could have been potential wins for the team such as the engine failure in Spain and Azerbaijan, and the strategy mess up in Monaco, Britain, and Hungary. If these mistakes were not made by the team, there would have been much more competition for the World Championship as of now.
George Russell feels that Charles Leclerc & Max Verstappen are almost the same
“I think Max and Charles, they are on a similar level,” PlanetF1 quotes the Briton as he talks about the contenders; but I really feel for Charles because he is doing a superb job at the minute and has been on the receiving end of a lot of bad luck.
“Max and Red Bull are just absolutely solid week in, week out. We’ve seen from the last couple of race weekends they can just bring the car home and pick up the pieces,” he added.
According to Russell, the tough and dedicated work that the entire Red Bull crew has been showing is one of the key factors why they have been successful to win the maximum number of races, and also why they are leading both the championships as of now.
