“I think Red Bull has the best car,” Sebastian Vettel urges Max Verstappen to keep fighting

“I think Red Bull has the best car,” Sebastian Vettel urges Max Verstappen to keep fighting

Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen

Max Verstappen and Red Bull were considered to be the favorites coming into the season but Ferrari seems to have spoilt their party. We expected Max Verstappen to pick it up from where they left off but that hasn’t been the case because of Honda’s inability to deliver a reliable engine. Red Bull and Honda’s relationship has worked perfectly up till this point but it hasn’t been the case this time around.

The Red Bulls of both Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen had to retire at the Bahrain GP due to a suspected fuel pump issue. It got better in Jeddah with Sergio Perez bagging pole and Max Verstappen going on to win the Grand Prix. In spite of the win, the Red Bull didn’t look convincing. Max Verstappen left it late to pip arch rival, Charles Leclerc, in his quest to win the first Grand Prix of the season.

When we thought that he would launch from that point on, another disaster happened at Albert Park. Max Verstappen had to retire out of the Australian GP due to overheating issues. The two DNFs have already costed him a handful of points and helped Charles Leclerc to build a healthy lead at the top of the standings. But the season is just getting started and there will be ample of opportunities for Red Bull to recover.

Sebastian Vettel has advised Max Verstappen to not give up despite a challenging start to the season. The ex Red Bull driver said, “‘In Max’s situation you have no reason not to be motivated. He is in a great team and I think Red Bull has the best car. Right now they just don’t have the best package yet.”

Talking about Ferrari, Vettel said, “”I hope they can enjoy the success now longer than they did then. I am very happy for Ferrari.

“Still have a lot of contact with the people there and I know how tremendously hard they work and how committed they are”, as reported by gpblog.

We are just 3 races into the season and the 4 time world champion, Sebastian Vettel, is right when he urges Max Verstappen to be well prepared when the opportunity presents itself.
