Max Verstappen after the recently concluded Austrian Qualifying has shared his views and indicated that he was not very pleased with the lap that secured him pole position.

The Red Bull Ring is an unforgiving circuit when it comes to tracking limits and Verstappen in pursuit of extra pace was certainly on the edge trying to use every last inch of the track.

The final few minutes after George Russell’s crash during Q3 were full of non-stop of action as everyone was trying to improve and one guy who did improve was Charles Leclerc. The Monegasque managed a time of 1.05.013 that secured him provisional pole but through came Verstappen who lit up the timing sheets with an outstanding time of 1.04.984.

Max while dwelling on his pole securing lap admitted that he was down on his personal best during Sector 1 and 2 so he knew he had to step up his game and that he certainly did by doing a personal best final sector.
