Mick Schumacher left the Haas Team at the end of the 2022 F1 season, and while he is a bit disappointed, he has made it known that he will do everything to get back on the F1 grid in 2024.

Mick Schumacher spent 2 years with the American team but wasn’t able to impress them enough, to get a contract extension, at least for the 2023 season of the sport.

However, despite the setback, Schumacher has not lost hope and is adamant to make an F1 grid return. While stressing about it, he recently added, “My goal is to be back on the grid in 2024.”

“Therefore, I will work hard on myself and make sure I have all the chess pieces in the right position so that hopefully I can be successful.”

The German has set his targets and made it crystal clear that he will be hard at work during time away from the sport. Moreover, he wishes that the stars will be in his favor when 2024 comes around.

While Mick Schumacher has got his eyes locked on getting a drive during the 2024 season of the sport, he also wants to join an F1 team in some capacity, in 2023, so that he does not develop any rust and keeps developing.

He further added, “Ultimately, I want to be in a place where I can grow and I can show the performance I have in me.”

Looking at what the 23-year-old has said, it seems that Schumacher is eyeing a third driver/development driver role for next year. Moreover, as things stand, the Mercedes F1 Team is rumored to be in contact with him.
