Lewis Hamilton has achieved the greatest heights in the pinnacle of Motorsports. The Briton 7-time World Champions tied only to the great Michael Schumacher in terms of his titles. He has the highest number of wins, podiums and pole positions for a Formula One driver till date. 

After six years with McLaren, Hamilton signed with Mercedes in 2013. With Hamilton behind the wheel, Mercedes picked up eight successive constructors’ crowns between 2014 and 2021, becoming one of the most dominant forces in F1 history. And

According to Derek Warwick, a former Formula One racer and steward, Lewis Hamilton is “the greatest champion of all time,” The Briton compares the seven-time world champion to Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost, two of F1’s biggest legends.

Lewis Hamilton is regarded as one of the most complete drivers on the grid, excelling across a wide range of tracks. Hamilton has been praised for his consistency. And Derek Warwick backed up his praises on why he believes the 7-time World champion is the Greatest of all time.

Warwick said, “He is a great champion. I don’t think you’re going to get many arguments that would say he’s not the greatest champion of all time. And I’m putting him up against Senna and Prost, Fangio and Stirling Moss and Jackie Stewart, all those guys.”

Mercedes got off to a slow start and has been trying to keep up with Ferrari and Red Bull. The W13 has suffered from porpoising and lacks speed in straights. So it might be a while till we see Hamilton claim his elusive 8th World Championship title. He is 5th in the Drivers standings with 28 points ahead of the 2022 Emilia Romagna GP.
