Max Verstappen won his second Dutch GP after beating his old rivals Mercedes in a very close battle till the end. Max has been dominant over the season, he was expected to get a win at his home in a very fashionable manner. Anyway, he failed to do so with both the Mercedes on power today. Max anyhow passed all the difficulties today to prove himself worthy for the second title yet again.

Max Verstappen started his race on softs as per the cliche strategy. He took off at the start of the race with a 2-second gap to Charles Leclerc in the very first lap. Though things changed with the British team coming up with another well-made strategy, almost getting themselves a well-prepared 1-2. But things took a turn after the safety car was brought out by former Mercedes driver, Valtteri Bottas.

Mercedes started his race on the mediums and took their first stint to almost double the laps for the other teams. This almost took Max on his toes after he had to fight the Mercs for the second time and this for the lead.

Max Verstappen won the title last season, being a very close season, Dutch GP was the most dominant win he had in the 2021 campaign. Verstappen compared his second win after having a very dominant struggle for a win in the Netherlands.

“This year I had to work for it even more. An incredible weekend and I’m really happy we have the Dutch GP, “ said Max.

Max is currently leading the championship but with 109 points to his rival Charles Leclerc. The amount of mistakes the Dutchman has been next to negligible and this justifies his lead. Charles Leclerc managed a P3 after almost losing out to a probable win.
