With the Italian GP done and dusted Charles Leclerc has a lot of free time until the Singapore GP. This has given the drivers a mini vacation which they will be keen on making the most out of. After what was a disappointing but expected defeat in front of the Tifosi at Ferrari’s backyard, a break is much needed for the Monegasque driver. This season has been the most mentally draining one for him without a doubt.

Currently, Leclerc sits in 2nd place in the driver’s championship standings with reigning world champion Max Verstappen leading the standings by a very large margin. After the first three races, Charles had a 46 point lead over Max Verstappen as he won the season opener in Bahrain and the race in Melbourne. Everyone thought that the driver would continue with this pace and end up winning both titles for Ferrari and restoring their glory in F1. Although this was not the case and it all went down the drain as a number of wrongful strategy calls and unexpected mechanical retirements have put the driver and the team in a unrealistic position to win the title.

Reigning world champion Max Verstappen could make it a double title victory in Singapore if Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez finish 7th or lower. Although this thoughts must have been eradicated from the Ferrari driver’s head as he was spotted enjoying a football match having attended as a special guest of Juventus.
