Independent investigator submits report to Red Bull regarding the Christian Horner investigation, announcement expected ahead of Bahrain GP

Christian Horner, the Red Bull team principal, has been under investigation since early February for an alleged inappropriate behavior investigation. While a lot has been said about it, it has come to light that the ongoing investigation will be resolved ahead of this week’s Bahrain Grand Prix.

As per Sky Sports, the independent investigation carried out by a specialist barrister is understood to have now been completed. Moreover, a report well above 100 pages has been sent to Red Bull’s Gmb board.

The Austrian-based company has been pushing for a quick resolution of the saga for quite some time and after the submission of the report by the independent body, the ball is very much in their court. Moreover, an announcement regarding Christian Horner’s future at Red Bull is expected to be made within 1-2 days.

The Brit, from the very beginning, has maintained his stance of not doing anything wrong and feels he is getting targeted. He’s so far been immensely active in all the day-to-day operations of Red Bull and was very much in the thick of things during the recently concluded Bahrain testing.

While Christian Horner’s fate is going to be decided soon, he has been pivotal in the success Red Bull has amassed so far in its history. The Austrian outfit entered the sport in 2005 and Horner has been leading its charge since then.

Under the leadership of the 50-year-old, the outfit has so far amassed six Constructors Championships and has also been able to win an impressive seven drivers’ titles. Their most recent one came last year courtesy of star driver, Max Verstappen.

Christian Horner has so far done a brilliant job leading Red Bulls’ F1 operation, but considering how things have been for him in recent times, he could be on his way out. As things stand, all eyes are on Red Bull’s Gmb board who are expected to make an announcement soon.
