As we are four races into the 2022 Formula 1 season, which has become more and more interesting with every passing race due to the new rule changes announced by the FIA, Scuderia Ferrari has come up as the team to look out for this season. While most of the other teams have been underperforming because of their cars which are not up to the mark, Ferrari’s SF-75 has been near flawless on every track and has fetched some good results for the team.
To start off the new F1 year, Charles Leclerc scored the race win at the season opener in Bahrain, beating 8-times World Champion Lewis Hamilton and his Mercedes teammate George Russell. Another prominent team that fans considered to do well in Bahrain–Red Bull–failed to make their mark as both their drivers retired from the race citing reliability issues.
For Ferrari’s second driver–Carlos Sainz, it is the second year in the legendary team. After coming fourth in the overall drivers’ standings in his debut year in Ferrari in 2021 with four podiums to his name, Carlos showed promise to achieve much better results in 2022 with such a powerful car as the SF-75. But, in the four races that have happened till now, Sainz has received podiums in two, and he suffered from DNFs in the other two.
Carlos Sainz analyses his “difficult” start to the 2022 F1 year ahead of the Miami GP

Ferrari recruit Carlos Sainz recently signed a contract renewal with the Scuderia before walking into the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. In Australia, the Spaniard had a bad luck with his car as he had to retire right at the beginning of the race due to reliability issues. And his series of misfortunes did not end there as he had a crash with McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo during the starting lap of the Imola Grand Prix, and then, he had to retire from the race once again.
After two subsequent DNFs, fans are speculating if Carlos Sainz needs to have a better andore reliable car, while his teammate Charles Leclerc has been appearing near the top of the grid in all the races till now. Speaking on his experience in the last two races, he said, “The difficult thing is that they come one after the other.”
Carlos Sainz further said, “It hurts more, but hopefully we have put this behind us in the first part of the season and we can start focusing on the rest of the year.”
