Lewis Hamilton did not have the best of outings at the Hungaroring during the Friday Practice sessions and afterward, while dwelling over the situation has indicated that he and the Mercedes crew struggled with issues throughout the afternoon.

Lewis Hamilton during FP1 was able to do 25 laps at the Hungaroring and was also able to land his W13 in a decent P7. However, at the end of the FP2 session, when everyone was going for the soft tire runs, the Brit fell further backward on the grid and found himself out of the top 10.

The W13 has so far proven to be a big challenge to get on top of at the Hungaroring and Hamilton while dwelling over the situation said, “The car is a bit of a struggle today. It’s crazy how it swings so much from track to track but is just set up.”

“Just trying to figure out how we can get the car working. At the moment it is a little bit lose and not doing what we want it to do. So, a difficult day.”

Lewis Hamilton sustained damage on the W13 during Friday’s Practice

Lewis Hamilton was struggling to get performance out of the car on Friday and to add to his woes, he also managed to sustain some damage to the car.

The 37-year-old deemed the damage as one of the reasons that caused him problems during the session. While giving insights into his Friday afternoon, Hamilton said, “I didn’t get to run at the end because I sustained some damage. So, I lost a lot of downforce, and after that, it was tricky with the long-run pace. It’s going to be a tough weekend that is for sure, but we will give it everything.”

Despite a tough outing at the Hungaroring, the former 7-time World Champion is not ready to kneel before the challenge and has stated that the Silver Arrows are going to give everything that they have got in the last race before the summer break.
