Since his arrival ahead of the start of the season, Kevin Magnussen has been on a roll and taken Haas from the last in teh grid to competing with the midfield. The Dane enjoyed another memorable weekend in Imola finishing P9 and taking his and Haas’s points tally to 15. The arrival of the Dane has also had a positive impact on the young Mick Schumacher.

Mick, who is yet to score his first points in his Formula one career, has already shown great potential. The German has come agonisingly close to a points finish with a P12 in Australia and Bahrain. Mick also claimed a P10 finish in the 2022 Emilia Romagna GP’s sprint race.

Haas Team Principal Guenther Steiner believes the Mick Schumacher has made evident progress and improved as a driver since Kevin Magnussen’s arrival. Steiner says the Dane has set a good benchmark for the The 23-year-old driver.

The Haas VF-22 has outperformed the predictions of its critics with Kevin Magnussen scoring vital points on the race tracks so far. Haas Team Principal Guenther Steiner is pleased the team streak in the opening races of the season. He is also keeping an eye on Mick Schumacher and believes the arrival of Magnussen will push him further.

Steiner said, “As I always say, it is always good to have someone like him for Mick so he can take him as a reference. Even if Kevin is still young, he has done this for quite a long time now and he is very mature so he tries to help Mick out because he knows he is here to work for the team.”

He added, “It is a good position for Mick to be in to have somebody like Kevin who is very fair and gives him all the information. You can learn a lot yourself, but if you have got a teacher, it goes a lot quicker.”

Heading to the first-ever Formula One Grand Prix in Miami, Haas are placed 8th in the Constructors championship, 1 point behind AlphaTauri in 7th. Magnussen will have high hopes with his current run of form with Haas as he stands 10th on the drivers standing while
