Lando Norris did a super job for the McLaren Formula One team during the Hungary Qualifying but despite attaining a P4 finish, the young Brit believes he could have done a bit more.

The way the session was going, it was believed that Lando Norris could spring up a surprise but it was George Russell who managed to find the extra pace during his last lap of the Q3 session.

However, P4 is still a very good starting position for the upcoming race and Norris believes even if he had improved a bit on his time, it would not have been enough to challenge Charles Leclerc who managed a P3 finish after his exploits.

The 22-year-old while stressing about his outing said, “It wasn’t a perfect lap, it was still a good one. The wind was tricky and the car was difficult to drive. We can be quick, it is just not easy. It is really difficult to be on the limit every corner of every lap.”

The MCL36 has been quick throughout the Hungarian weekend and now with Lando and Daniel starting in the top 10, the Brit believes that the team can really challenge tomorrow and while talking about it said, “It looked good yesterday. I think everyone else has closed up a little bit. We had a good day, and others had a bad day. Today it’s a bit more equal. I’m confident. I feel like I got a good car I can challenge with.”

The papaya-colored team’s young starlet is confident about his chances during the race and believes he can do a solid job. However, Norris has got Esteban Ocon starting right behind him in P5, and, given the battle that Alpine and McLaren are engaged in this season, the Frenchman is certainly not going to make it easy for Norris going into Turn 1.

The pressure is going to be immense on Lando as McLaren is currently four points behind Alpine in the Constructors Championship and the hopes of the team are going to be more on him as compared to Ricciardo.

Lando has been in good form this season but will he be able to keep the lights of Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon behind him during the whole duration of the race?
