Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen

Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen have given it a full monty in the first four races of the season with neither of them showing any signs of backing down. This has come at the best time for Formula 1 after an incredibly successful season which saw Max Verstappen pipping Lewis Hamilton for the title. But nobody thought that we’ll have a start to the season which would match the excitement of last season.

There has been an epic rivalry going on the track between the drivers but there’s an equally interesting game of poker going on between the constructors outside of it. None of them want to reveal all their cards going into the next race. The momentum is definitely with Red Bull after a flawless performance by both their drivers which saw them secure a 1-2 finish in Ferrari’s home race, which could be a major blow to the Italian Giants.

But, it’ll be silly to put it beyond Ferrari and Charles Leclerc to make a comeback in the upcoming Miami GP. The result in Imola was not something that Mattia Binotto must have expected after the kind of season they have had. Being a seasoned campaigner, Mattia knows the topsy-turvy nature of a Formula 1 season and knows very well how to react to low like this. He recently confirmed that Ferrari will bring in some upgrades for Miami.

The rivalry between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc could be one for the history books, according to Damon Hill

Damon Hill has found this rivalry between the two heavyweights pretty interesting. He recently deduced the nuances of this epic rivalry brewing up in front of us. He said, “It is going to be interesting.”

“They’re sitting down and thinking about it more and it’s a bit like playing poker.”

“I’d like to see a season where you get leapfrogging. So maybe Ferrari come in, but maybe Red Bull decides to hang on, they’ve played their little trump card at Imola and they’re hanging on for a bit.”

“But maybe Ferrari now are going to come, ‘We haven’t just been resting on our laurels, we haven’t been doing nothing and assuming we’re going to succeed. We’ve got this package now and we’re going to bring it into play in Miami,” as reported by planetf1.

This rivalry between Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen could turn out to be a classic after what we have seen in the initial races of the season. It’ll be interesting to see who blinks first in this tussle for the top.
