Valtteri Bottas, former Mercedes driver and current Alfa Romeo driver, has been a rival to Sebastian Vettel for quite a few years. As Sebastian Vettel decided to end his career after 16 years, there is a little hope for him to stay in touch with Formula 1. Sebastian is the director of Grand Prix Drivers Association beside George Russell. Valtteri Bottas hopes Sebastian to continue with his role as the Head of GPDA even after he cuts all the threads with the sport.

Sebastian is a good human being and this is proven after his deeds on and off track. Vettel is bond to be one of the best drivers on the grid being a friend to everyone around him. His direct approach to everything and no fear to ask any quick questions makes him the perfect candidate to stick with the role of the director.

Valtteri Bottas appriciates Sebastian for his very frank nature and hopes him to be to the director as he plays that role extremely well. “I feel like it’s quite hard to replace Seb in that kind of role, because of the way he is, you know,” said Bottas.

“He’s really straightforward and direct and doesn’t go around things. He just says things as they are and questions many things loudly, so I hope he continues,” Valtteri praised Sebastian, as GPblog quoted.

Daniel Ricciardo has been Sebastian Vettel’s teammate for a single season. He has been in touch with the four time world champion since the start of his career. Ricciardo has a very deep level of understanding with Sebastian and he provides his take on Seb continuing being a part of Formula 1.

“I think his character is really good for that position. So yeah, we’ll see,” said Daniel.

Sebastian Vettel recently was fined for exiting a meeting without a prior permission. Daniel also gives an insight of Vettel not being aggressive in anyway rather appreciates his direct approach and straight forward nature to in handy quite often and hopes him to be a part of GPDA as his contact with the sport.
