Lewis Hamilton will be moving to Scuderia Ferrari in 2025. Many consider this transfer as the biggest F1 driver move in recent history. Hamilton’s switch to Ferrari shows the commitment of the Italian team as it ropes in one of the greatest drivers in the sport’s history. Now, former Ferrari driver Ivan Capelli has reckoned that this move could bring more talent to Maranello including Red Bull’s Adrian Newey.

Capelli claimed that Lewis Hamilton’s move to Scuderia will make Maranello an attractive option for Technical heads on the grid. The Italian highlighted that Adrian Newey could be the most interested in a potential move to Ferrari. Ivan Capelli pointed out that Hamilton’s decision to join the Prancing Horse shows that things are about to change at the Italian team. This could certainly bring in some of the most talented personnel to the team.

Seeing Hamilton arrive at Ferrari makes the team more attractive to technicians too, and above all I say Newey, because in any case we are witnessing a seven-time world champion who arrives in Maranello giving the idea that there is a future projected to something different.

Newey has previously flirted with the idea of joining Ferrari. The F1 aero genius almost accepted a massive Ferrari offer almost a decade ago when Maranello was ready to hand him the F1 team and the car division altogether. Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari switch might come at the perfect timing. Red Bull team boss Christian Horner is currently under investigation against inappropriate behavior claims. Subsequently, Adrian Newey might leave Milton Keynes if tensions continue to rise.

Lewis Hamilton banned from poaching Mercedes staff for Ferrari

Lewis Hamilton has spent over a decade at Mercedes. The British driver has formed strong bonds with multiple personnel within the Silver Arrows. As such, the seven-time world champion would be looking to bring some of his peers to Maranello next year. However, Hamilton is forbidden to discuss such a possibility with members at Brackley due to a non-poaching clause in his Mercedes contract.

Hamilton’s race engineer Peter ‘Bono’ Bonnington remains uncertain about his future after the Briton’s exit. Bono will be holding talks with Mercedes boss Toto Wolff in the coming months. However, the race engineer cannot discuss a Ferrari move with Lewis Hamilton. Although, it must be noted that Maranello could directly approach Bonnington.

Certainly, Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari switch will have a massive impact on the F1 paddock. Several big names could jump ship across the grid. Subsequently, fans would be looking forward to seeing how things unfold in the coming months and whether more shock moves take place for next year.
