‘I’ve driven here for more than 10,000 laps’ Yuki Tsunoda counting on Suzuka experience to help in his first-ever F1 home race

Yuki Tsunoda has been driving in Formula 1 for two seasons now. He will be given another chance next year with a contract renewal. Tsunoda will be driving at Suzuka for the first time since entering the top sport. Though he has had his experiences around the circuit as a young driver originating from Japan, Yuki is still excited to get back on track in Infront of the fans.
Japan returns to the calendar after two years under Covid. Suzuka has provided the sport with many special memories and also becomes a favourite track for many drivers. Yuki being the top of the list with his special holding around the circuit. Tsunoda has had a ton of drive around the circuit latest one a few years back when he drove in Formula 4. Yuki is pretty excited to get himself on the track as soon as possible.
“I drove Formula 4, I think it was four years ago I was driving here and last time in Suzuka I won here,” he said. “I really like Suzuka, I was driving here since 2016 and I’ve driven here more than 10,000 laps so I know a lot of tricks but it’s a lot of different driving in F1. Still, I think one of the best tracks in my experience,” talked Yuki about his experience in Japan.

Japan being out of the season for a couple of years should witness people from around the country get their seats full. Not only a driver but also the return of a well-known brand, Honda, is all set to get the show to everyone’s notice.
“It’s definitely a cool thing. I don’t feel any [extra] pressures as it’s really hard to imagine I’m driving there because I was one of the spectators watching these guys and now, I’m driving in front of the fans so it’s really hard to imagine,” said Yuki.
Tsunoda also keeps his expectations high from his team after a lost opportunity in Singapore.” So, those things I have to improve but at the same time, the pace especially on one lap, I’m quite happy with and progress so far, ” said Tsunoda.
Singapore GP was probably the best opportunity for the teams to do incredibly well and score a bunch of points for their fight against Haas in the championship table.
