“Just to bottle it tomorrow” Twitter reacts as Charles Leclerc out drives Red Bulls to claim pole position in Baku

Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen

Charles Leclerc managed his 5th pole position of the 2022 season after taking yet another pole on the streets of Baku, which makes his third pole position in a row. He hasn’t been able to take the win any time after the Australia Grand Prix, even though starting on pole three times in the last three races, bottling up his win twice in the last two. Leclerc after a superb performance in Baku didn’t expect himself to be on P1 for the Sunday.

Charles managed a 1:41.359 with a gap of three tenths to Sergio Perez in second place. However, fans still don’t trust the lap times with a Ferrari win tomorrow, as the team has managed to get themselves disappointed in the last two races. Charles and Ferrari fans still hope for a win but always end up on the sad side of the story. Red Bull fans on the other hand are still quite happy with the position both the Bulls are on. With 2 kilometres straight to turn 1 it would turn out to be quite easy for any of the Bulls to get past Charles if they manage to be right behind him. Fans expect another bottling from the Italian team and Monacan driver, “Just to bottle it tomorrow” tweeted a Max fan.

Triple Fight for the Win Tomorrow: Charles Leclerc, Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen

Max Verstappen Charles Leclerc and Sergio perez
Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez top three after the Baku Grand Prix qualifying.

Sergio Perez joined the fight for the Title in the Monaco Grand Prix and arguably is on the level of Max Verstappen this season. The Mexican also managed to out-qualify his teammate for the second time in a row and will be starting second in the Baku Grand Prix. Max is on third but that doesn’t count him out for tomorrow, the 2km long straight will give the Bulls quite a marginal advantage over the Ferrari’s and starting just behind Leclerc would give him a clear slipstream.

We could expect a three-way fight for tomorrow and a four-way if Carlos Sainz joins from the fourth. Mostly the race would cover the Red Bull and Ferrari yet again with mid-field still having a decent gap to the top. Baku as always could still turn the table for the Championship, with Max-Charles-Perez having a gap of 15 points.
