The Haas F1 team has always been a curious case at the pinnacle of motor racing. From some high points to some extremely low ones, the team has had quite a ride so far, and amidst the team’s mixed 2023 performances, its driver, Kevin Magnussen, has applauded its new title sponsor, MoneyGram, for helping the team in its F1 journey.
MoneyGram became a major sponsor of the Kannapolis-based Haas F1 team ahead of the ongoing campaign and has since played a major role in helping the outfit in monetary terms. Moreover, it is a big name in the financial services industry, and Kevin Magnussen ardently believes that their arrival has filled the team with a lot of optimism.
While discussing the same, Magnussen told Autosport, “Of course, it’s more fun when you’re strong and competitive, but there’s also something satisfying in the chase. I think at the moment we’re in a sort of a bit of a place where we certainly want to move forward. And I think where we are as a team right now, there’s a lot of reason to be optimistic and I think the future is looking very bright for us.“
“And I think where we are as a team right now, there’s a lot of reason to be optimistic and I think the future is looking very bright for us. We’ve got a great title sponsor with MoneyGram. They have changed the situation in the team a lot. I think from here there’s great reason to be focused and dedicated to getting back to where we want to be,” he added.

Guenther Steiner’s has a unique take on the growing interest in Haas
While Kevin Magnussen is pretty pleased with how MoneyGram has impacted Haas, its Team Principal, Guenther Steiner, has also made it known that there are still a lot of parties who want to join hands with them. He added, “There’s still a lot of interest in general relationships, but we are talking with different parties in the moment.”
“There’s very good interest and I think you can see also, very good interest when you see during a race weekend how much advertising is on the racetrack and things like this. We’ve got quite a lot of discussions going on.” Haas is in a good place now, and everyone on the team is pleased with their progress.
The Haas F1 team is eighth in the Constructors Championship with eleven points. Still, considering the positivity that’s been oozing out of their camp recently, they could be in line to spring up a few surprises in the remaining Grand Prix events of the 2023 Formula 1 season.
