Lando Norris was let go without a penalty at the Saudi Arabian GP for the jump start. Many drivers including his close friend George Russell had complained regarding the same, but the FIA didn’t pose any penalty. The car transponder did not spot in any unsuitable conduct, so the stewards decided that there was no violation despite video evidence. It was also seen on the cockpit camera as a jump start but it was a lucky day for the McLaren driver.

Lando Norris was also seen admitting his mistake over the team radio, during the race. After being asked by the media post-race, Norris did admit that he was taken aback for being able to escape the penalty. After days of the incidents, looking back at it, the Englishman opened up and highlighted that it was the first time ever, during his entire racing career.

I've never done this ever in my life. Since I did karting I've never done it, so I don't know what suddenly happened. You're so like just ready to go, but it's quite dark and there are so many lights. So I don't know if I've just reacted to a light elsewhere, either in the corner of my eye or somewhere in front, from people videoing or whatever it is.

During the entire race that day, Norris kept waiting to hear about the penalty from his team engineer, but it never came. He himself seems confused regarding the guidelines of Penalty after the event. The Mclaren star has decided to clear his confusion, by asking FIA the rules regarding the same ahead of the Australian GP.

Lando Norris hopes that Red Bull runs out of their ideas

The best friend of the reigning world champion, Norris has made predictions regarding the actual change in the dynamics that might take place in the near future. He has never shied away from praising Red Bull for being the smartest team on the grid. While talking about the future, where perhaps things might change he told the media,

I think for things to really shake up, we have got to wait for 2026. That can potentially be a big shake-up for every team, with PUs [power units] being one of the biggest things. Right now, there's not really anything between PUs but a lot more between cars.
Lando Norris said.

Until 2026, the Britishman thinks, it’s really difficult to break the winning streak of Red Bull. Red Bull has proven to be the fastest on the grid and they do not seem in any mood to slow down. Norris believes all one can do now is hope that the team runs out the ideas.
