Formula 1 conducted a successful 4th Sprint Race Qualifying since 2021. Sprint race qualifying has a normal Qualifying on Friday that decides the Grid for the Saturday where we witness that essence of the race we usually get on Sunday.

Seeing the experiments Formula 1 has done for the qualifying, Lando Norris plans to challenge his limits by not participating in Free Practice and joining the team directly in Qualifying, “I guess once in a while it’s something exciting, something different,”.

It’s a big challenge for us as drivers, I guess probably more than anything, to jump in and find the limit.”

But he also continues saying he won’t try because of the difficulty it will bring for him to directly sit in the car and hit the limits but it will be “Cool” to do it once in a while.

“I wouldn’t like it every weekend. These cars are not easy to set up but I guess once in a while it’s something exciting, something different. It’s a big challenge for us as drivers, I guess probably more than anything, to jump in and find the limits,” said Norris.

And maybe people would like that more, maybe you can stand out more in those types of situations where you have a very limited time.  I guess if you’re into qualifying, you have laps, you know two or three laps in qualifying to try and find the limit,” he added.

I think it’d be a cool thing to do every now and then but it’s not something I’d probably prefer over the whole year.  You know, you want time to set up the car well and get comfortable with the car and so on so we’ll see,” Lando reported to Motorsportweek.

Meanwhile, Lando Norris recorded his first podium finish of the season, as he finished P3 in Imola. This meant that the Briton has finished among the points for a third race in the running.
