The MotoGP weekend at Silverstone has caught the attention of Formula 1. It is not a rare sight to see stars from one disciple visiting an event of another category. This time, McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have been spotted attending the races at the iconic British circuit. Norris even named his all-time favorite in MotoGP.
The British driver revealed that it was the motorcycle championship that made him fall in love with racing even before Formula 1. Norris acknowledged that F1 fans would not be happy to hear this from the 23-year-old. He said, “I’ve always loved MotoGP, since before F1, although they hate me saying that!” The McLaren driver even had an exciting time witnessing the Moto3 race during the weekend.
Norris admitted that it was Valentino Rossi who caught the eye of the Briton in the MotoGP. The 7-time MotoGP champion was the all-time favorite of the McLaren driver. Lando Norris continued, “I was a big fan of Valentino [Rossi].” The 23-year-old was delighted to be able to attend the thrilling weekend at Silverstone with his teammate Piastri also present at the British circuit.

Lando Norris sends his support to Fabio Quartararo at Silverstone
Moreover, Norris declared his support for Fabio Quartararo this weekend. The 23-year-old stated, “I’m here supporting Fabio so I will be wishing [him] the best.” It seems that the two McLaren drivers were at odds with cheering for a rider in MotoGP. As Oscar Piastri had given a thumbs-up to Marc Marquez earlier this weekend.
Nevertheless, Lando Norris seemed to be having a great time at Silverstone. The British driver was happy to feel the energy of the entire MotoGP weekend. The 23-year-old even recognized a few familiar faces as he attended the race. Certainly, fans would be looking forward to seeing Norris in more races of the motorcycle championship in the future.
Thus, Lando Norris named Valentino Rossi as his favorite in the history of MotoGP. Norris even expressed his age-old love for the sport, with the 23-year-old claiming he was passionate about the motorcycle championship even before Formula 1. Perhaps, the McLaren driver will try his hands at two-wheelers sometime in the future as well.
