Lando Norris reveals his ‘most’ deserving podium finish till date
Lando Norris
Lando Norris is undoubtedly one of the most talented drivers on the F1 grid. The 22-year-old has been a part of the F1 grid since the past three seasons, and has already had quite a few memorable moments. The young Briton finished P6 in the driver’s standings in 2020 and 2021, and will look to take a step further in 2022.
Lando Norris has five podium finishes to his name in F1 this season, with four of them coming in the 2021 season. His best finish till date remains his P2 finish in Monza last season, where McLaren secured an iconic 1-2 finish. Lando Norris certainly does not have many podium finishes to pick from at the moment, but he does have one, which he believes to be his most deserving one.
Lando Norris revealed that his P3 finish in Imola last season was his most memorable and deserving podium till date. The Briton finished behind Lewis Hamilton, who finished P2, whereas, Max Verstappen went onto win the race.
“Pretty eventful race”: Lando Norris on the 2021 Imola GP
Lando Norris revealed that he had to work hard for his podium finish in Imola last season, as he had to make several overtakes, and defend for his life. Eventually, all the hard work paved off, as Norris brought his McLaren home for a P3 finish, which was his first podium finish of 2021.
“It was probably like my most deserving one. The one I had to work to overtake and defend to hold people off. This was a pretty eventful race, picking up my third trophy, my second of 2021,” said Norris on his Imola GP triumph.
The action returns to Imola again this weekend, as Lando Norris and McLaren will look to put on a good show at iconic venue. Both, Norris and Daniel Ricciardo finished among the points in the Australia GP, as McLaren seem to have brushed aside their poor start to the 2022 F1 season.
