Formula 1 maintains the trend of conducting press conferences. Lando Norris recently defended a reporter in a conversation with other journalists when he received a disrespectful remark while the Austrian Grand Prix continues to be in progress. When the McLaren driver came into the paddock for the interview, the event happened. A video of their interview, in which she questioned him about McLaren’s extensive improvements this weekend, has surfaced on social media. He spoke in the TV box to respected reporter Mariana Becker, who works for Brazilian TV.

It being a sprint weekend and there being only one practice before the vehicles enter parc fermé conditions for practice, Becker questioned Lando Norris on how he would be able to prioritize working on the changes to the car and whether or not they can be deemed to be a “game-changer” in such a little amount of time. Norris complimented her and claimed that she was the one who asked good questions after hearing it.

After the McLaren star had done praising him, the other reporter remarked, “You are a hell of a liar. Good question… you ask the best questions here, well done.” Another reporter who had gathered around the pen then spoke out and remarked to Norris, “You are such a liar.” Becker and the McLaren driver reacted with shock at this, and Norris replied,“I’m not. So who are you?” “No, I’m telling the truth.”

According to rumors, the Woking-based team will compete in the Austrian Grand Prix with significant modifications. It’s finally time for some major remodeling after lagging behind for a while. According to team principal Andrea Stella and driver Lando Norris, McLaren arrived at Red Bull Ring with redesigned sidepod, marking this as a “milestone” in improvements. This weekend, McLaren is travelling to Austria with a sizable number of enhancements that may be installed on Norris’ vehicle before being added to the car of teammate Oscar Piastri at Silverstone next week.

The MCL60 will in fact turn into a ‘B-spec’ vehicle when the modifications are fully installed, according to team principal Andrea Stella. Because the alterations are so significant, they are being separated out over the course of several race weekends. The capacity to extract the best results and have the optimal settings, for the time being, will be limited by the availability of just one Free practice.  If the improvements work as predicted, McLaren will benefit greatly and may once again compete for a top-four finish.
