The Formula 1 Grands Prix might not start until March this year but the F1 town is all engrossed in the news headlines that are coming up each and every day even during the off-season. Only yesterday, Ferrari made the surprise announcement that they had signed Charles Leclerc for a “multi-year” contract extension. The Scuderia did not provide any details regarding when the Monegasque’s deal with them would come to an end, and thus it is being believed that this is the first indefinite contract in the history of the team. Now, McLaren have stolen Ferrari’s time in the spotlight as they have made a huge announcement of their own.
It was always known that Lando Norris’ contract with the papaya outfit would be coming to an end in 2025. The Briton has been a loyal recruit under the aegis of McLaren ever since he stepped into the world of F1 in 2019 after being crowned the first runner-up at the 2018 FIA Formula 2 Championship. Lando had entered the pinnacle of motorsports alongwith his contemporaries George Russell and Alex Albon. Ever since their F1 debut, Russell and Albon have both changed their squads as they shifted to Mercedes and Williams respectively, but Norris has stuck to McLaren.
And now, it has been announced that Lando Norris will be seen donning his papaya outfit for a few more years since he has signed up for a multi-year contract extension with the Woking outfit. The team released a report on their official website on the same.
The McLaren Formula 1 Team today announced the signing of an extended multi-year contract with Lando Norris. The latest renewal will see Lando remain with the team beyond the 2025 season, building on his strong six-year relationship with McLaren Racing.

McLaren Boss Zak Brown is not happy with whatever is brewing between Red Bull and AlphaTauri
The AlphaTauri F1 team has been a sister quad to Red Bull for a long time, but their most recent season’s results were too disappointing considering that Red Bull got the World Championship victory. Thus, going into 2024, the Faenza-based outfit will be seeing a complete upheaval that has already started now. Their name has been changed to Racing Bulls, and it has also been said that going forward, AlphaTauri will be getting more help from Red Bull for the advancement of their performance.
Zak Brown has led the protest against two teams grouping together to beat the other squads in Formula 1. He has called for a change in the rules that permit such a team-up and has been supported by former World Champion Damon Hill. It remains to be seen if the FIA and the Formula One Management pay heed to the protests and intervene in Red Bull’s process of taking AlphaTauri to the top alongside them.
