Lewis Hamilton off to Sossusvlei

Lewis Hamilton was spotted in Namibia this afternoon after Formula 1 took a few days off for a Summer break. Lewis Hamilton landed in Namibia and then took another chartered flight to Sossusvlei one of the most beautiful salt pans in Namibia. He is off for a vacation after a struggling first half of the season for the Mercedes driver.

Lewis Hamilton finished second last weekend in Hungary. He didn’t flinch to take a little rest and directly boarded a flight from Europe to Africa. He finished behind his arc rival Max Verstappen who won the race almost hammering the second World champion on his name. Hamilton has always seen a kind of wanderlust and loved travelling places. He has many residences around the world and also has dual citizenship in the United Kingdom and Brazil.

As the summer break starts we could expect Lewis to visit as of now he will be enjoying a lavish summer break at Sossusvlei.

Lewis Hamilton ended the 2021 season on a very depressing note after losing out on his eighth title in a very controversial way. He started off 2022 on a similar note with Mercedes struggling to get on the top after issues with porpoising. They ended the season as the best team but started the season being the third fastest.

Lewis had hoped for an eighth and record-breaking title after not getting it last year. But without the similar pace, it was impossible for Lewis to beat a top-form Max Verstappen with a fast car this season. Not only did he have Max to chase but Charles Leclerc with Ferrari being the fastest and his new teammate George Russell was also around to target him.

But last few races things have changed quite a bit with Lewis finishing on the podium last 5 races straight. Coming back in form Hamilton has finished off the last few races before the break on a good note and expects to fight on the top after the break.
