Lewis Hamilton has a music studio set up which he takes on tour with him
Fans are well aware of Lewis Hamilton's love for music, and McFly's Danny Jones even claims to have seen the Briton's music studio (which he takes on tour).

Lewis Hamilton, who is a seven-time Formula 1 world champion, also has a keen interest in music. There are numerous videos of him playing guitar and piano on the internet. He has been seen singing sometimes as well. Of course, he has previously dated a musician as well – Nicole Scherzinger, lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls. And apparently, he even takes a bit of a ‘studio setup’ on the road with him!
F1 drivers have INCREDIBLY packed schedules, as do most sportsmen. Sure, usually, races take place every two weeks, sometimes less, sometimes more. But there are media duties, training, simulation work, and more. This means that someone like Hamilton’s schedule is jam-packed, so it’s rather hard to find time for your hobbies, or even for your family. But he seems to be managing it well, especially with his activism, on and off-track.
The ‘studio’ claim is according to Danny Jones, lead guitarist of the pop band McFly. The band will be headlining the Silverstone festival in August, and Jones said that a lot of F1 stars want to be in music, while a lot of musicians want to be racing drivers. As per Leader Publications, he said: “I am just super excited to be performing at Silverstone Festival this year.”
He added: “It’s going to be our first time. We don’t know what to expect but we’ve heard it’s incredible and the crowds are amazing. We all love motorsport as a band so to be performing here feels like a proper milestone.” The Briton has earlier been reported to be interested in working with Drake and Frank Ocean. And his love for music itself is rather obvious.
Danny Jones has ‘seen’ Lewis Hamilton’s studio set up
Danny Jones further explained: “I think music and sport marry really well. Everyone I meet in the world of music wants to be a racing car driver and every racing car driver wants to be a musician. I know Lewis Hamilton does – he has a little bit of a studio set up when he goes on tour. I’ve seen!” That is certainly a very interesting claim about Hamilton, who is currently in his 17th season of Formula 1.
Unfortunately, not all is going well for him on track. Having lost out, narrowly, on an eighth world championship in 2021, things have pretty much gone from bad to worse. The W13 wasn’t a championship-contending or even particularly competitive package, and neither is the W14. He finds himself at a crossroads, with his Mercedes contract expiring at the end of the season. All parties have pointed to an extension, but it isn’t set in stone yet.
There is a promise of improvement, as Mercedes have important upgrades in the pipeline. But these are unlikely to help them challenge Red Bull, who have been the dominant team for a while. Still, perhaps at some point of the season, the ‘new concept’ W14 can go wheel-to-wheel with the RB19, at least in challenging for race wins. Hamilton, who hasn’t won a race since the 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, would certainly be looking forward to that.
