Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari
Lewis Hamilton, the former 7-time F1 World Champion, is yet to put pen to paper regarding a new deal with the Mercedes F1 team. His current deal expires at the end of 2023. Keeping this in view, former F1 team boss, Eddie Jordan has come forward and said that he wants to see the prolific Briton doing his trade for the Ferrari F1 team in the upcoming years of the sport.
The Irishman has even said that it is his dream to see Hamilton running the show on the Maranello-based team. While shedding light on the same, he said to Express Sport: “There’s only one place he could go to in my opinion and that is Ferrari. A guy with the talent that he is, and I think it might be a [match made] in heaven. I think Ferrari needs shaking up and I think Lewis Hamilton needs shaking up if they are going to continue.”
Jordan thinks that Hamilton ‘needs a change’: “If Lewis is going to continue then I think he needs a change. For his mindset, for his drive, for an initiative, for fun. Learning Italian, dealing and eating pasta with those guys, it’s a different world. And having run a team we always saw how different Ferrari operates and I would love to see Lewis in that environment.”
Jordan clearly thinks that Hamilton and Ferrari would be a perfect fit for each other. In his opinion, Ferrari needs a big change to get itself on the right path, and the same he thinks about the Briton, taking into account the struggles of the Brackley-based Mercedes F1 team in recent years. He ardently thinks that having the British F1 legend at Ferrari would do wonders for both parties.
Eddie Jordan: Lewis Hamilton would be the answer to Ferrari’s ‘little problems’

Lewis Hamilton has been competing, very successfully, at the pinnacle of motor racing since 2007 and has a wealth of experience. Eddie Jordan believes that he would help Ferrari a lot in eradicating the little/internal problems that have popped up on the team every now and then. While talking about it, he said: “I think he could really shake them up. I think he could bring a new sense of direction to them, I think he would eradicate a lot of the little problems Ferrari have had.”
“So therefore, I would just like to see before he fully retires, I would like to see Lewis there for a year or two to see what would happen. Just think of the column inches. It’s an amazing story. It’s unlikely to happen but it’s my dream.” Lewis Hamilton is currently 38 years old and does not have an abundance of time left in the sport. Jordan is well aware of this fact and genuinely hopes that he will join Ferrari for a short spell, before calling time on his F1 career.
Lewis Hamilton is hands down one of the greatest drivers in the history of Formula 1, the pinnacle of motorsport. Having a prolific driver like him on a team like Ferrari, which in its own right is a legendary brand, would be a sight to behold for all the Tifosi all over the globe. Considering everything, would you like to see the Mercedes maestro racing for Ferrari in the upcoming years of F1?
