Lewis Hamilton has had a huge struggle the past two years but with engineer, James Allison getting back into the technical director role, Hamilton believes that there is renewed hope in the Mercedes ranks.
2021 was the last time the Brackley-based team was seen locking horns with the mighty Red Bull F1 team for the coveted title. since then, Mercedes has fallen a bit backward on the grid and has found it hard to cope with the new regulations. However, Lewis Hamilton firmly believes that good days are ahead under the leadership of Allison. While shedding light on the same in detail, he said as reported by Motorsport.com.
At the beginning of the year we didn't have a north star that told us how to move forward, how we needed to work to progress. I believe that now Mercedes has a North Star again, something that hasn't happened for a couple of years now.
Looking at the optimistic outlook of the former 7-time F1 world champion, it seems that the appointment of Allison as the technical director has left a positive impact on the whole Mercedes F1 team. Thus, Hamilton believes that the future is bright for the team in the upcoming years.
